Laura Marish holds a BA in Photography from Sheridan College and was born in Bucharest, Romania. She completed her primary schooling across Romania, Austria, and Ontario, Canada. Her love for the arts has deepened through her early years of motherhood, with joy for exploring photography, painting, knitting, and culinary arts—each of which connects her to the nuances of femininity as it evolves through life’s stages.  This journey ultimately inspired her to study photography in greater depth, pursuing it as both a passion and a profession.

Currently a fine art photographer, Laura plans, creates and captures ethereal moments that connect her to her childhood stories, femininity, nature and graceful movement of life's speed of light.   She lenses stories that stir her soul, using either composites to accentuate the narrative or pure simplicity in a light or a shadow captured.  She chases beauty in the brokenness of life, the nature in us, for us and with us and what it all means through the passage of life, inviting the viewer to create their own narrative.  

As a commercial photographer, Laura is committed to bringing her clients' visions to life. She carefully considers the intended brand essence, crafting product images that reflect the brand’s true spirit and portraits that capture the distinct personality and professional identity of each subject. Her imagery is ethereal and unique, setting brands apart with a style all their own.

Laura is a recipient of the Applied Arts magazine award, has been published in the ROM and currently volunteers her time on photographic projects, connecting with her new community in British Columbia.
