Italian Encounters

It is 9 years since my incredible opportunity to study in Italy.  Over these years, life took me between a rock and a hard place, forcing me to put my passion for the arts on hold and focus on survival. Now, despite ongoing challenges, my healing journey has given me the chance to press play on the long pause and finally work on these images. As the pause has been so long, many moments were forgotten and I now find myself through the travel of time experiencing moments as if for the first time.  

What a treat and an amazing feeling to look at my work and say “Ooh, I love that”.  

I love people, especially observing them in their natural environment.  These faces of Italy include beautiful nonnas, chatting neighbours, babies mesmerized by stunning sculptures and couples who enjoy the simplicity of their surroundings.
