What kind of photographer are you?

I get asked this all the time—and it’s a valid question! Many photographers stick to one genre and thrive there, and that’s awesome. But for me, life’s too full of moments to limit myself. Sure, I have my strong suits, but as life shifts, so do opportunities. After learning and exploring just about every corner of photography, I’ve found that by using intellectual flexibility and being selective in my work, I can thrive anywhere. I love to capture what I see—no limits, no boxes.

In the studio, I’m all about portraits, products, food, and fine art. When I’m outside, you’ll find me snapping street scenes, landscapes, or getting lost in the details of florals—their scent, texture, and elegance. And on location? It’s everything from architecture to corporate portraits to mouthwatering dishes and striking products.

I thrive in looking at meaning for what I lens, always curious about the stories I capture!

Sweet Summer

As summer’s luscious moments slowly come to an end, I find myself yearning for the vibrant beauty that Beautiful BC offers at its peak. The warm days, endless blue skies, and the bounty of fresh, local produce—how I wish this season could last a little longer.

One of the treasures brought home recently was these wild cherries, their vibrant fuchsia colour catching me by surprise. Each bite revealed a tartness that perfectly balanced their juicy, dense texture—a true delight for the senses. These cherries graced my pancakes, adding a burst of flavour that was as fleeting as it was memorable. Though the fresh bites are now just a sweet memory, these images will forever be cherished on my kitchen wall, a reminder of summer’s fleeting beauty.

Embrace these final days of summer by indulging in nature’s offerings, capturing the essence of the season in every bite.

Italian Encounters

It is 9 years since my incredible opportunity to study in Italy.  Over these years, life took me between a rock and a hard place, forcing me to put my passion for the arts on hold and focus on survival. Now, despite ongoing challenges, my healing journey has given me the chance to press play on the long pause and finally work on these images. As the pause has been so long, many moments were forgotten and I now find myself through the travel of time experiencing moments as if for the first time.

What a treat and an amazing feeling to look at my work and say “Ooh, I love that”.

I love people, especially observing them in their natural environment.  These faces of Italy include beautiful nonnas, chatting neighbours, babies mesmerized by stunning sculptures and couples who enjoy the simplicity of their surroundings.
